The Need for More Critical Reviews of Art Exhibitions

The number of art critics writing for traditional print outlets has thinned dramatically in the last few years as media companies face shrinking revenues and uncertain futures. It is for this reason that we have found it necessary to create a system and means of reviewing exhibitions. My hope is that when people go to view an exhibition in their different locals that they will look at the shows with a critical eye and come to this site and report on what they have seen. Not only will it help direct interested viewers to the exhibitions but it will also provide the artists with feedback and press to include with entry forms for juried shows or in their proposals for solo exhibitions. Reviews and Criticism are a very important part of an artist's growth and development. I hope that you all will participate.
